(RCCA) Pad the Girl Child is an initiative aimed at ensuring that girls and young women have access to affordable and hygienic menstrual pads. Many girls miss school or feel embarrassed during menstruation because they cannot afford or access sanitary products.
The initiative promotes menstrual hygiene, dignity, confidence, and education by providing sanitary pads and teaching girls about proper menstrual care. It also helps reduce the stigma and shame associated with menstruation.
